How can I get involved/join?

You can join us for drop-in every Monday from 5 – 7pm or pay the membership online.

How much is club membership?

 $60 for UBC Students and staff.

$65 for Alumni & Community

$15 for Drop-Ins

How much does the range cost?

This is included in your membership. No extra fees are required.

I’ve never done archery before – can I still join the club?

Of course! We offer beginner lessons to members who have never shot before.

I have done archery before – do I still have to take the beginner lesson?

Nope! All that we need is sufficient proof that you know what you’re doing with a bow. This is typically done by one of our range officers who will examine you shooting a couple arrows. 

I don’t have my own equipment, where do I rent them from?

We provide all archery and safety equipment

If you wish to buy your own equipment, you can ask us and we will be more than happy to let you know of some nearby archery equipment stores.

I have my own equipment, can I use them?

Of course! We do have some restrictions, however. No Crossbows, and no Compounds over 70lbs.

Can I go to the range if I’m not a UBC student?

Yes

Competitions?

We will be looking into creating a competitive team so that we can compete in provincial championships and do fun outdoor 3-D tournaments or shoot against other universities.

Do you do other events besides shooting?

Yes, we do holiday-themed shoots and events such as skating, movie nights, board games, and socials. Look in our media to find out when we doing other events.

What is a 3D event?

A 3D is an outdoor course usually in the woods, where you walk around shooting fake foam animals for points. Our club will sometimes go to these events.
